Just wondering if anyone knows how the wiring is run to the exterior light by the entry door? Is it from the ceiling down to the fixture or run up from the floor? I want To add a folding deck cleat to the outside of my Scamp 13 for two reasons - to bungee the door during travel after hearing about door issues and to use it to tether my dog' leash while at the camp ground. Need to drill the lower half of the camper for the mounting bolts in the vicinity below the exterior light. Don't want to run the risk if drilling into the wires.
I have a much beloved 1981 13' Scamp trailer. I had a recent tragedy that I really need some help and guidance on. The trailer frame broke. The break is on the main exterior frame portion, a few feet behind where the fiberglass front meets the frame. About a year ago, there was a small crack on the opposite site, just below the door, and I had that welded firm and that held. This is a clean break as you can see in the photos.
Seems like the Progressive Charge Wizard does the same as the Battery Minder 1510. Perhaps with the advantage that is is plugged in to the charging system. I was wondering if folks are adding the Charge Wizard to new Scamps from the beginning, ie when taking delivery?

P.S. Just heard from Micah at Scamp, the Charge Wizard is now included on all NEW Scamps.
Just bought a 2009 Scamp 13. I noticed some of the acorn nuts on the outside are rusty. Has anyone replaced theirs? If the bolts aren't anchored I would have to have to cut the inside liner.
Help, we,are renovating a 1986 Scamp. We painted the outside, and are starting on the inside. Up to this point the camper was inside a carport . Now we have it outside and 2 of the rear side windows are leaking. Any advice .
Our 1976 came with a 4 flat plug. So how does one rig up their Scamp's deep cycle to be charged by the tow vehicle? Do I needs a 7 round wiring or is there another way?
This is our first winter with the Scamp. I took the group 27 battery off and am storing it in the unheated garage (Indianapoiis, Indiana). I have it off the concrete floor on a block of wood.
I have a trickle charger I use for my motorcycle. Is it best to periodically charge up the Scamp battery or is it better to just leave it alone and charge it in Spring?
