Installed a new axle this past spring. It has about 200 miles on it so far. Recent trip, after driving about 30 miles I felt the wheel hubs. While they didn't burn my hand, they were too hot to comfortably hold on to for more than a few seconds.
Is this too hot? It was a warm day. Didn't notice any odors. I've read that it sometimes it takes a couple hundred miles for the bearings to "seat" and during that time some increased temps may be normal. Just keep and eye on them for now? Do they need to be disassembled and inspected?
Still continuing my Scamp education. Today is the toilet class.
Mine leaks clear water around the base where the toilet fastens to the tank. I've noticed it after I pressurize the water system and do a flush. It's a pretty slow seep, but does accumulate water in the floor of the bathroom.
Hello all. I posted this on a FB page so it might be redundant to some of you, my apologies. About a month ago we purchased an '88 13' that came without the battery. I purchased a new battery yesterday and am not getting any power to the inside. Are there some places you can have me look to see if this is an easy fix? We are going camping in a couple weeks and would like to have 12v since the campsites are w/o electrical hookups. Thanks for any help.
My 1999 16' Scamp came with just one door key. I would like to get one or two duplicates. I've been to two hardware stores, and neither one had the correct blank. Is this generally a problem? I had the thought that maybe I could order a blank from Scamp and get it cut, but it's a part that's listed in the Parts Store.
Good day all I am wondering if there is anything to quiet our Fantastic Fan? it has hardly been used so it works well but is pretty loud. Any suggestions would be helpful.
I admit, I'm probably weird, but I want a non-automatic valve to switch between my two propane tanks. The main reason is, knowing how my brain works (or doesn't), if I let the automatic valve take care of everything, I'll mess around until both tanks are empty. If I have to crawl out and switch it over by hand, I'll know one tank needs to be refilled.
So the question is, does anyone have any experience or recommendations for manual switchover valves?
I just acquired a 1999 Scamp 16'. There are some issues with the running lights - tail, turn, brake. I have some electrical experience, and I'm confident I can figure it all out, but a little boost from some other people's experience might save me some time. Here's what I'm seeing:
