I have just finished installing brakes on our 2015 standard 13" Scamp which we bought new without brakes. The job was pretty much straight forward to do. Remove the old hubs, mount the new backing plates, and install the new hub/drum assemblies. At this point I adjusted the new brakes. The biggest "figuring out" part was how to run the wiring. Our Scamp has no bath so all the wiring comes into and through the front storage compartments. I ran two wires (brake power and ground) inside the front compartments around on the drivers side following the factory wiring harness.
We're considering replacing the door seal on our Scamp 19'. I've seen comments about having to add a shim when doing this. Where does this shim go? Does Scamp provide it? Any pictures available? With a new seal can you close the door without using a shim? Thanks for any info provided.
We got our Scamp13' in April and were finally able to use it over the weekend - it was great! Except, there seems to be a leak in the sink. No leaks when with the stopper/plug -- but when water runs down the drain, I see some small drops of water on the hose that runs from sink under heater to grey tank. Not fast running water but enough to get things wet in that cupboard. We've tried calling Scamp with questions but no returned calls yet. We aren't that handy but wondering if we could take out the heater an
I'm a newbie to this site as my wife and I have ordered a new 13' Scamp Deluxe Wood Front Bath with trailer brakes and it should be ready for pick-up by 28 December 2017.
I've read in some blogs that talk about checking your wheel bearings, repacking, and inspecting them. I was wondering if anyone knows what size wheel bearing kit works for the 13' trailer? Is there one that is recommended over others?
Just had the Scamp factory replace my 2002 Scamp Deluxe 13' 16-year old centurion converter (toast) with a more modern Progressive Dynamics now standard in the new Scamps. I forgot to ask why there is an original 15AMP circuit breaker that is designated as "12V Battery" on the panel. If that 15AMP breaker is on does that isolate the battery from the converter? The system works perfectly with the circuit breaker off.
Looks like there may be a leak in our 2010 toilet and it appears that replacements are not available. Has anyone replaced their toilet and if so, with what? What we have is a SeaLand (Dometic) 711-M28 Toilet. Anyone replaced with a type of pedestal toilet?
