I bought a used 2014 13' dual propane tank Scamp. I purchased a cover for the tanks but the tongue jack hits it every time I crank it. I don't know if the previous owners did any modifications to the placement of the battery or tank tray.
Anybody have any thoughts? Is there a specific tank cover I should buy? (I've tried 2)
We’re getting a nice greasy star patter on the wheel. So I’ve got a grease seal that’s failing. Would anyone know the part number I need to buy for replacement?
Hello Scampers, just seeing if anyone else has encountered this problem. Last weekend when we were camping my wife was showering in our 13' Scamp with the shower/toilet combo. I noticed water was dripping underneath the Scamp. Upon closer inspection I could see the water was escaping the Scamp right next to the black water drain underneath the trailer. I called the Scamp service line and they said there is a wax ring under the black water tank to keep the water from escaping the Scamp.
My 13' is four years old. The tires are 41/2. I've put about 12,000 miles on them. The pictures show it they look. I'm new to trailers and to thinking about time as a determinant of when to replace. It's not that expensive to put on new ones and I want to be safe.
After a dramatic blowout in Texas, my collection of deferred floor maintenance is now going to be necessary. The belted radial tore the driver-side wheel well out and also managed to disconnect most of the wires from the back of my new inverter (which I installed this summer). I replaced the rear floor 4 years ago, so I still have the west systems stuff, I'll probably use marine-grade plywood with waterproofing. Here's what I'm looking for help with:
Hi foks. I'm running a new line to two USB ports. Tying both positives together with a wago and into an unused fuse spot on the back of the fuse panel. Tied both negatives together with a wago, but looking for advice on where to tie it in. There's not a common negative bar on my panel, but there's a ground bar on it with a single copper wire plugged in to one of about a dozen spots (the others are empty). Should I tie into one of those spots on the ground bar on the back of the panel?
So, it's my first time winterizing an RV and I'm the only Scamp guy I know, which means I'm relying heavily on you fine folks to help me with the dumb questions.
I trust this will be an easy process... next year, but for now, on with the questions!
1) At first I could figure out how to drain the hot water heater tank. Finally, I figured it out. Everything says it should be a 7/8, plastic plug, but mine was a metal 1-1/8" plug. Is that normal or did someone change something before I owned it? It's a 2022 Scamp 16.
