Good day all; Our fan started leaking on the rear passenger side of our deluxe 5er, I'm thinking I should drill out and replace the rivets and reseal the fan for the best outcome using ss screws nylon nuts butyl tape and 1x on the inside to support the fan also a marine sealant over the joint on the outside.Do you all think i'm going down the proper road? Does anyone know how the wood is attached on the bottom of the fan inside, glue ,rivets, screws? Any thoughts suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thankx in advance.
Hi, I am new here.....hope I am doing this right. I was trying to get the light cover over the sink/burners didn't want to crack or break them. Can someone tell me an easy way to get them off, want to put in led bulb.
My clothes caught on the screen door when I was exiting our 16' Scamp and I broke the upper hinge on the screen door. I don't see any parts for that on the Scamp website. Anyone know if I can buy the parts? I just need the part that's in the rail that holds the door on the top.
I have returned from a great and quick trip through Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, and South Dakota. The picture below is from Medicine Rocks State Park in Montana. It was my first real road trip with the Scamp. (And the dogs and I'm happy to report it was a much better experience with them than my first foray to the Scrambled Eggs event in May at Kathio!) I'm working on getting the tar specks off the front of the Scamp from some of the road construction and have spotted lots of very small chips in the finish from gravel.
I'm trying to problem solve my battery not being charged by the converter and the only wiring schematic I can find it the one with a bunk. That schematic says there's a fuse under the bunk but I can't find that fuse in my model since there is no bunk. There's the fuse near the battery box but no second fuse where the wiring comes inside the closet. Anyone know where this fuse is?
I have a 16 footer. I noticed the other day the shower drain pump is not on when I activated the switch. The switch seems to be good, I did a resistance test. There does not seem to be power to the switch, i did a voltage check with meter. I followed the wires to the bottom of the storage cabinet next to the bath and have not yet done any troubleshooting there. I check the fuses and they are good and the light in the bathroom is working. The pump worked a year ago, that is the last use.
As anyone had this kind of problem and suggest some solutions?
We just got our Scamp last fall and after a couple of trips out it was time to put it away. Had it winterized by an RV dealer since I had never done it before.
Now, its time to get it out and prepped fro the summer season, except I can't get the water heater to fill. I've watched the DVD video as well as the on-line ones. I've done what what they've said regarding hooking up city water and/or running it off the fresh water tank. In any event, I don't seem to be able to get the hot water heater refilled and functioning.
