Our 1976 came with a 4 flat plug. So how does one rig up their Scamp's deep cycle to be charged by the tow vehicle? Do I needs a 7 round wiring or is there another way?

How to charge battery with an original 4 flat plug?
Adding a 7 Pin Trailer Connector is your best option. Currently, none of your 4 pins connect to your "House" battery, they are only attached to your "Trailer" wiring (Rh and Lh Turn Signal/Stop Lights, marker lights and ground).
Adding a 7 Pin connector to your Tow vehicle should not be too difficult and could probably be added easily by a hitch shop (like U-haul).
Even though you don't have brakes on your existing Scamp, I would wire the 7 Pin on your Tow Vehicle for brakes in the future.
You would then need to wire the Scamp for the 7-pin connector. That too should be a fairly easy job because you already have wiring for 4 of the 7 pins.
As Always,
Happy Scamping !!!
I agree with ManwithaVan. Also, better for resale if that ever comes around to get the trailer setup with a 7 pin. Not an expensive mod, here are some 7-Pin options.

I strongly suspect that your TV already has the 7 pin wiring to the back end. If so, Toyota can sell you the 7 pin TV end connecter with plugs that just plug into the existing wiring harness. You may also have to install a relay or two. The relays would just plug in to the relay panel. You would just need to know which socket. Check it out. You can do it!
