We picked up our 2017 16' Standard in early November and I've left it out in the rain and snow just daring it to leak. I've never found any reason to think anything other than we're just really lucky until today. I was running wire along the floor in the rear of the trailer, where all the other wire and plumbing goes, and found wetness all the way across the back, down low on the rat fur. I see nothing that looks like it would leak around the back window or seams or anything. There has never been any water in the trailer system as we got it late in the season and I d
My 13' Scamp has a three-way refrigerator (Dometic 2183, I think). I use the 120VAC to cool it down before we start a trip. I get it down to between 35 and 40 deg.
We had our Scamp out for our first excursion about 10 days ago. Used shore power at the campground. Have a connector for the car that supposedly powers the refrigerator while we are driving down the road, that seemed to work.
Had a great time! Came home and parked it, turned off all the switches, left it until yesterday. Went out to check on it to get ready to go next weekend, the 12 volt lights did not work. Battery dead?
Any thought on the D load rated tires for the 13" wheels. I'm 5 years out on new tires and have always had C load range. Just wondering if anyone has changed and how they like them. Do they ride any differently or any other reasons to go with them or not.
13 ft Scamp ... about 10 yrs old. Based in the Seattle area. Problem: We have a small amount of mildew and mold on the interior inner walls and inner roof.
Just returned from our maiden Scamp trip. No major issues but one that we were curious about. At the time of purchase we were told that with dual propane tanks a propane tank gauge came standard. I may just be missing it or not looking in the correct location, but I am not seeing a gauge. Also, is it normal to have condensation, I mean alot of condensation within the scamp? Given it is a very rainy spring in the N.W. and we had the furnace running. Any and all thoughts are appreciated.
