Hello - Several of the window seals on my 2006 Scamp have pulled back. I've not tested them for leaks but I can't imagine they would hold out water for long if tested. Some pics are here:
I recently purchased a 16' 2006 Scamp. In inspecting the rivets it appears that the caps are all at the end of their useful life, and several rivets are either loose or crooked.
There are 8 sizes of rivets sold on the Scamp site, and I've read that you shouldn't take more than one out at a time.
Good morning - I am the new owner of a 2006 16' Scamp with a front bathroom. I failed to test the plumbing before purchasing, and yesterday hooked it up for the first time. There are two leaks, which I suspect are from incomplete winterization.
The first picture shows a leak underneath the trailer, it looks like I should be able to disconnect and replace that part if I can identify what it is called.
I have a 1992 Scamp 16' Standard with a Catalina 2500 awning. One of the brackets attaching the awning to the trailer has broken. I have attached a picture of the broken and unbroken brackets. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement? I have already written to Scamp. No answer yet but It could be someone has another source. Thanks. Bill Ryan
I put the accurate description of my problem in the subject line, but I really just wanted to type, "Help!!" I noted this happening this spring, but forgot entirely as the Scamp sat for most of the summer. In getting it polished up for a fall trip, I realized that water had collected behind the spare, along with a good deal of grime. The picture shows it after I took the magic eraser sponge and "Awesome" cleaner to it. I'm afraid it's under the surface for good. (bad)
I just recently found out, thanks to a friend who was following me, that I have a turn signal problem. They work great all by themselves, but when the brake light is also on, the off-side turn signal also blinks, but alternating and not as bright. This goes both ways.
I have tested the socket on the TV, and its voltage output is what I would expect. I would normally expect a ground problem, but for this: a meter test between the R (brn) and L (red) lines going into the trailer shows continuity. I don't think it should. Do I have that right?
We have a 2016 13' Scamp that we love. We've got about 8,000 miles on it, and I'm concerned about all the bumps and pot holes it invariably has to ride through. Would it be advisable to install some sort of additional shock absorbers to minimize the pounding? Any suggestions?
We just noticed that this hose seems to be hanging kind of low under the trailer. Does anyone know if this is the way it is supposed to be, or should we figure out how to raise it up and fasten it to the frame somehow? Seems to be the hose leading from the shower drain pump.
