Does anybody know how much heat is generated by the propane burner on the stock refrigerator? I need to replace the insulation in the cabinet where the refrigerator is and I have some 2" XPS blue foam available to me. I like the XPS board as its it cleaner and easier to work with. If it is safe, I would rather use that than buying a bat of R13 fiberglass, splitting it and then throwing away the rest.
Dometic 1.9 fridge on my 13" scamp no longer works on 120V. 12V and propane are fine.
I have tested the 120V receptacle it plugs into and there is power. Before I start dismantling this system, any thoughts on what I shoudl be looking for? A wiring diagram of the unit would be nice but I have not been able to locate one.
1994 13' Scamp. Propane just refilled, turned on all the way, stove works. Heater fan kicks on, then blows cold air. I've restarted it with the thermostat, wait until it turns off then turn back on and have gotten it working for a couple cycles then goes back to not working even after the restarts. Any ideas what could be causing this?
I have metered the output from the converter and it reads +13V. I metered the battery and it reads 12.7V! With battery connected, all 12V systems work. When I removed the positive line from battery, nothing works. It seems the converter is not really connected to the 12V system. The 120v plug does work.
What am I missing? Shouldn't the converter by supplying charge to the battery (seen as a >12.7 voltage) and power to the trailer?
I have been working on a charging issue with my 13" Scamp bought new in 2015. The wiring diagram shows a 120V fluorescent lite but I have found none. All lites are 12V. Is this diagram in error? Others experienced this?
Edit: I need some help figuring out why the door on my 13' scamp does not fit correctly.
My Better Half has bought herself a 13' '84 scamp as a project. She is happily tearing out flooring, painting doors and reupholstering away.
In the meantime, when I finish rewiring I get to figure out why the door does not close properly. It appears that that either someone has removed the door and let it sit in the sun and flatten out or, as I read elsewhere here, the doors flatten out on their own??
Hi, just bought a used 1994 Scamp 13. I'm getting no response from the heater when turning it on, no sounds or anything. The propane stove and lights from battery work so I at least know those are functioning. I tried the Scamp manual recommendation of turning on the stove propane for a couple minutes which didn't work. I'm very new to this so any help/input would be appreciated!
I have a 1989 Scamp 19 with a side toilet. Recently water started to leak out of the black water drain pipe cutout under the trailer whenever shower water sprays behind and around the black water tank on top of the shower pan. The leak is fast and immediate. The water doesn’t have to build up in the shower pan for the water to start leaking. I read posts about how this might be caused by a disintegrated wax ring that sits on the shower pan floor under the black water tank. I’ve never removed the black water tank.
I have a 1988 Scamp, first year owner. When I put the battery back in after the winter it would not light the l.e.d.s or anything else. Battery is fully charged and load tested and is good. I am assuming that the white wire is the ground and the black wire is the hot but I did not keep track of which is which. Going from the Scamp manual. All appliances work with shore power and tail lights work when hooked up to the tow vehicle. Fuses to the intellipower 9200 are ok. What am I missing. Other than knowledge?
When I try to use the water pump using water from the holding tank, water gushes out of the city water hook up and drains the tank. Any ideas what' wrong?
