Wife to retire this June from 30+ year teaching career, and we head west for long-awaited Utah trip. I've maintained the bearings and done brake check and adjustment every 10k miles as recommended. I'm thinking I might need to replace the brake components at some point along the way on this trip, but I do not know what exactly to buy, or exactly what specs to consider. Wrote to Scamp and got a friendly, prompt, but tangential response.
We have a 2017 16' Scamp with - of course - electric brakes. Will this set from etrailer be correct as a replacement when the need arises?
I replaced my cracked escape hatch lid with a new one from scamp. When I close the hatch the entire way there's a bit of area on both sides of the front hinge that's not sealing tight to the weather strip.
any advice on getting it to seal all the way around? Do I just add some thin weather stripping in that area?
What is the base resistance between the battery wires at the battery box (battery removed)? I measure .425. That normal? Should be 0? Trying to see if there is a short or something else in the circuit that would drain the battery.
Hi - recently went for our first outing this season, and when connected to city water, our freshwater tank filled up and overflowed. My reading has led me to the conclusion that a check valve on our water pump has failed, and we might need a new pump. The pump, btw, works when we disconnected city water.
I have had my 13' scamp trailer from the 70s for about two years now and and it looks like the frame on both sides near the axel is cracked and has some serious area loss. I got a new axel about a year ago while I was on my roadtrip but wasnt aware of any frame issue.
looking at the back of the scamp the left side (drivers side) is significantly lower than the right. The left wheel is very close to rubbing on the fiberglass and this area also has some cracks in the fiber glass.
