Hi, we're new owners of a Scamp 13 and while checking the fit of some new curtains, while it is in storage, we noticed a beeping noise "beep beep beep" at a regular interval coming from the cabinet next to the door that houses the a/c. Since the battery is disconnected while in storage, we figured it might be a smoke detector that has running out of AA battery power. But search as we may, did not find the source of the beeping.
A previous owner tore out most of the DC system on my trailer. Is there typically a main DC fuse where power enters the trailer on these? If so, what amperage?
im just wrapping up rewiring - ran 8AWG main DC leads, 10-12 AWG circuits to each appliance and zoned lights. Trailer was single 10AWG circuit for everything when I got it.
I am trying to find out where I can purchase the crimp that was on the end of a wire in an LED light socket (921 style socket), but I don't know how to identify it.
It is the socket that is in the outside porch light beside the door of the 2017 13" models
Anyone have tips or tricks for removing the toilet (black water) gate valve/ drain pipe? Mine has a slow leak I'd like to resolve. It looks like it was glued together after the threaded top part was installed, and the only way off is to cut the pipe? (I saw Eddie's response to a toilet removal question where it sounded like this assessment was correct, but wanted to verify.)
I have acquired new gravel shield hardware to replace the old on our 19' Scamp. The new hardware came with the proper rivets as well as washers. I have replaced the hardware on the Gravel Shield using the washers over the rivets on the opposite side of the fiberglass panel as the hardware. I am now about to replace the fittings above and below the window on the Scamp it's self. My question is, are the washers really necessary on rivets inside of the camper?
Has anyone had to tackle replacing the floor of the raised sleeping area of a 19' fifth wheel? I just brought home a (new to us) Scamp, and discovered in the journey home that the front window leak was substantially worse than it originally appeared. The OSB is soaked through.
Looking at the outside and seams, I did not see any obvious points where the plywood is fastened to the steel floor supports, or to the fiberglass shell. I'm assuming the plywood is bonded to the shell.
We are in the Atlanta area, with mild winters, and we don't want antifreeze in our potable water tank, but we sure don't want anything to break!. Are the procedures in the correct order? I’ve read posts here on SOI and other sites, consulted with various camper owners, studied the Scamp instructions, and watched youtube videos. I’ve drawn particularly heavily from information on www.parkedinpardise.com. Here’s what I’ve come up with but I am still unsure. Corrections and feedback welcome. Thanks, Daphne Hall
This is my first weekend out with the Scamp 13 equipped with the furnace. It starts up fine and works well until it shuts off. Every time it shuts off it makes a loud rattling sound for about 30 seconds. Is this normal?
