Bearing kit for a 19' a long story

Forums:

So like many things it started simply enough. I had replaced the tires on our New To Use 5ver. While I had the wheels off I thought I should check the brake shoes. Once the drums were off I saw that the bearings could use some new grease. Fronts are easy enough but to do the inner bearings you must drive out the oil/grease seal over the bearings. First one popped right out using a just right sized socket to drive it out.

2019 Door hinge

Forums:

Just looked closely at the door hinges on our 2019 13 with bath and the upper hinge has a tiny crack on the body mounted portion. at the point where the door side hinge attaches. Also the pin only passes thru the upper bushing and the lower bushing is unsupported making the hinge less stable/secure. The pin appears to be 1/2 inch shorter ( cut ) than the one in the lower hinge assembly possibly trying to get better function from an out of align hinge. The crack is small but they rarely get better. We are headed to southern IL in the am and Now I am concerned.

Noob power converter

Forums:

We just upgraded from a '76 12 foot to a '97 16 foot. When we picked it up the electrical system worked fine. After we fooled around and got the furnace to light the problems started. The furnace is off but the converter kicks on every 3 or 4 minutes and will drain a fully charged battery in about a day. Is there a way to just circumvent the converter for now? Do I need a new one? Any insight?
Thanks!

Toilet/Shower: options?

Forums:

We're in the process of choosing the options for our new Scamp 13, but cannot seem to figure out if it's possible to get the shower setup WITHOUT the black water toilet.  We would love to have a sani potti of some kind in its place.  We're new to this forum so apologize in advance if this has been asked and answered already.  So excited to begin this adventure and thank you in advance for your patience and advice!

Can a 12V antenna boost be replaced with a 12V USB outlet?

Forums:

Howdy gang. Doing a few light modifications to a newly purchased 1996 16' trailer and I have two 12V antenna boosters that I'd like to remove (one above side dinette, another above the kitchenette).

Can these safely be replaced with 12V USB charging outlets? They seem like great spots for dedicated phone charging stations.
