This trailer hasnt been used for a few years and nothing done to it. I would like to have it ready for a trip to the Southwest this winter. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a 2013, 13' Scamp. we have been experiencing problems with the gas lines the lsat two times out. Afer about a day and a half, the pilot will light but the main flame will not stay lit. I've tried purging the lines by lighting the stove bu this doesn't work. I've taken the tank off and reconnected it. I've taken off the rubber hoses and reconnected them, still no luck.
Someone from customer service said that he's heard of this problem and I should replace the regulator. It's just over two years old and hasn't been used that much..Any one else had problems?
Hi All: My husband and I are new Scamp owners, and are still learning the ins and outs of ownership! We returned from a trip about 3 weeks ago, with the grey and black water tanks emptied according to instructions. However, we didn't drain the fresh water tank. It got very hot here in Central CA the past 3 weeks, and when I went in to do some additional trailer cleaning, I turned on the sink faucet and a really strong sulfur (rotton egg) odor came out! I looked underneath the sink, and the hoses appear to have growth in them!
I’ve been full-time in my Scamp since May 4 and about two weeks ago noticed that a cabinet is pulling away from the trailer frame. I have a 2013 16' layout 4. The cabinet in qustion is the one with the refrigerator, which is to the left of the door as you enter. I sent an email with photos to Scamp and got the reply, "Cabinet probably just needs to be re-fastened in place. Rivet probably broke on top."
Just wondering if anyone has had to deal with a squeaky door? And what they did for it..Our door just sounds awful with this squeak and its embrassing to say the least when someone wants to see the inside and that thing squeaks like that on a new one. We did know if we should try spraying something on the hinges or not,guy we talked to at Scamp didnt seem to know what to do....Wish we lived closed to Mn we would take it to them :-)
I accidently hooked the battery up incorrectly (yes i know) and have no power, the wiring diagram in the owners manual and information on line indicate there should be in-line fuses, they are not where they are supposed to be? I have checked the converter box breakers were not thrown and fuses there were ok, but as it was set for 12v unlikely they would have.
We got the Scamp last year and never really used it just from battery, except when we were purchasing the fellow demod the lights fan etc.
Hi, I have another question. I have a 1997 13' Scamp and discovered 2 windows that look like they are leaking. Can I just caulk aound them and if so, what should I use? I read somewhere about drilling out the weep holes. I'm not sure how to do that? Side note: I bought this Scamp last fall from this site and put it in storage the day after I got it. The person said one of the windows leaked and that they replaced it the day I picked it up, but now i'm not too sure that was true.
