fold up table repair

Hi all,

When we put the table in the up position (2016 13' Scamp) the two tabs on the table don't quite reach all the way up to fully catch the receiver slots on the back wall.  It appears the metal rod that it swivels on has gotten slightly bent out of shape (not a full 90 degree bend?).  The tabs are slightly bent too.  Here is my question to you folks:  I plan to try and manually rebend the rod and tabs, but is there an aftermarket source to buy exact replacements for these parts?  I wonder if others have had this problem?

table hardware

Thanks Wsferris.  Turns out I was able to bend hinge rod and tabs back straight.  I think we did the original damage by hooking the table in the upper position without the leg fully down so it angled the table and bent everything. I thought one of the bigger online parts supplier might sell the table hardware (other than Scamp inc.) but I failed to find any.

Standard RV Stanchions

One of the first things I do when I pick up a new to me Scamp, is to get rid of that table hardware and put in standard RV table stanchions. I've done it on every one I've owned. https://amzn.to/3wun8en (SOI sponsored link)

Not only do the chrome poles look better, but you don't have to worry about putting the table down for travel.

As you can see in Pic 2 the stanchions also give you an option of creating Barbie Accessory Tables for your Scamp!

RV Stanchions

Yes, that looks really nice!  Do the posts telescope up and down to set up the bed?  Do you need two or one post for our 13 footer?  Looks like two.

Thanks, Lee

Stanchions

I use two for the main table. I haven't installed the 19 yet, just placed for alignment. Two is sturdier with less wobble for the big table, then I have two locations for placing the cocktail table with one pole. You do have to experiment with placement for the two poles so you have room for the feet. Standard stanchions are fixed height and you can order various heights.

There is a pricy option for a Springfield pedestal that pneumatically goes up and down, but it can't be removed to make a lounge and not sure if anyone has fitted one in a Scamp.
