I replaced my axle with one from Scamp. The old axle was curved up, to the center. The new one is straight. Were they built straight, or curved? Thanks!
Hello! I have a 1982 Scamp that has some bad water damage to the subfloor. I plan to replace the whole subfloor and would love to get tips and advice from other folks who have experience with this.
Additionally, I am going to paint the exterior. I plan to use marine paint. Do I need to sand the whole trailer down before priming/painting? Please feel free to share your process and what steps you took, tips, etc.
Has anyone installed Scamp's Bottom Door Bar Hook? It's purpose is to hold the bottom curvature of the door on "vintage" trailers against the frame seal. Does it really work to "close the gap" and hold the door tightly against the bottom and lower sides of the door?

Just purchased a 2006 Scamp 19, 3" lift with 205-75R14" Goodyear Marathon tires. Will the 215-75R14 fit , or will the rub? That 215-75R14 rates better than a 205-75R15R.
Recently had tire blow out at 65mph on port side. Debris from tire blew hole in wheel well and broke a number of wires. Was able to find someone in are to repair fiberglass but not wiring. I now have power when hooked into electric,but, when on battery I only have power to the two interior lights on that side. RV dealer in area is of no help with maintenance issues. Suggestions as to which wire may need reconnecting(wiring diagram is greek to me).
Fired up the Dometic AC in Scamp yesterday and it blew out mostly warm air. I bought it several months ago so this was the first time I tried the AC. I read several articles on RV air conditioners and they suggested it could either be dirty or a bad capacitor. How hard is it to replace the capacitor and where would I purchase one? Appreciate any advise from the community.
