What happens when you do? How can you tell the level in the black tank? We had a leak of what we think is black water (based on smell) that showed up in the morning as a small puddle under the furnace on a 2021 16'. Upon investigation, the water was coming from under the bath liner, across the sub-floor under the furnace and neighboring storage compartment and dripping down to the aisle floor level. Scamp says we could have overflowed black tank and caused leak from black tank vent pipe, since it happened twice, both on the fourth day of camping. Does the toile
I partially winterized my camper until I came to my shower drain pump issue. Now that that issue has been resolved, I have a question about the underside water tubing which is connected to both sides of my shower drain pump.
If I am under the camper and facing the front, the clear tubing on the left goes from the pump to the left corner of the front of the camper and disappears around the corner under the particle board. Am I correct in thinking this tube takes the water from the shower drain to the grey water tank in the back of the camper?
I want to update my 2005 13 ft Scamp's converter since the fan quit on my old converter. Does Scamp still use electrical panel below dining table? My old converter company is no longer in business. Will I have to make mounting hole bigger.? Any ideas?
Driving from WA to WI my shower drain pump stopped working. I have a 2021 16' er.
This may only be a coincidence, but I had turned on my main water pump until it shut off by itself. Before I turned on any faucet, I used the toilet and flushed it. The water came out high pressure and I released the flush handle immediately. Could this high pressure have damaged the shower drain pump? Will I need to get this pump replaced?
I came up with this method because we are going fall camping in a few days, and it may get below freezing, especially while driving. A side benefit of removing most of the water, including from the water heater, is about 50 lbs less trailer weight.
In my 2017 Scamp 13 Deluxe, the output of the water pump is attached to a white elbow that looks like it is cemented in, and the water line is then attached to the other end of that elbow, which looks to be threaded. That would mean that the water line has a female connector. Can anyone confirm that? I don't want to break the couplling to find out!
The blinking green LED indicates a fault. If speed was set to less than 50% it worked most of the time. Tech support mentioned it could be voltage issues, however the DC system voltage is well within the normal range. The fix was replacing the PCB (printed circuit board), and they sent it under warranty -- but without any instructions.
The PCB is located in the corner of the fan directly above the local push-buttons. Here's how to replace it:
Hi everybody. I'm rounding out my second summer with my 2001 13' Scamp. I love it but I still can't quite figure out the electrical scheme. Last weekend my three 12V DC lights went out despite being hooked into shore power. I assumed the battery was dead but did not have a tester on me. When I came back home after a few hour drive with a seven pin harness, however, everything worked again. I'm guessing driving with the seven pin must have recharged the battery, but I don't know that.
Brand new Scamp 16', Layout #4. There are 2 low point drains for both hot and cold water on the portside of the camper. Sadly, the penetrations look like someone foregoed a drill, and instead made the holes using a claw hammer... The "chipped out" areas are not covered in resin.
What materials would be best used to seal the openings from water intrusion, understanding that the Uponor PEX-A pipe has limitations on what can come in contact with it. For example, certain materials can degrade the pipe over time.
