I have never used the fresh water tank except to put in RV antifreeze to winterize. I did that for the first time this past winter.
Now the tank is filling up with water, all on it's own! I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. And I can't find any clear indication online of which way to turn the valve to drain it. I turned it all the way to the right (pointing to the inside of the Scamp) and it dripped water constantly, but never completely emptied. Now, even with the valve in that position, the tank completely filled with water.
Hi everyone, thanks for reading and offering guidance.
I have a new-to-me 2016 Scamp 16 and I'm trying to figure out the systems.
When I am connected to shore power the lights, fan, pumps all appear to function as intended. I am aware that when disconnected from shore power, the onboard battery can only run the 12V components (ie, lights).
Hi all. I was late in winterizing our camper and the 6 gallon aluminum hot water tank has a 10" crack in it. It's a 2017, 13 footer that we bought new. I called Scamp and they informed me they use a 4 gallon system now and that the hole in the size of our camper is too large to fit the new unit. The model we have is an Atwood G6A-7.
We have an 1985 13 with a wall a/c that needs to be replaced. It's in the bottom of the cabinet unit immediately to the left when you enter. It is riveted to the cabinet unit on all four sides. Has anyone replaced such a unit? What would we replace the rivets with? I don't know how to access the sides of the a/c unit, as the backs of the rivets seem inaccessible. Thanks for any help!
I've had my 13' standard with a bath for a little over a year. I tow it with my Outback and that has worked very well. The trailer is quite stable even in some strong crosswinds that we get with some regularity here in New Mexico. Being new to trailers, I realize that I have not been as attentive to speed as it seems I should be. I regularly drive a few hours at around 70. I take it I should be driving at 65. Given the 75 mph speed limit and drivers cruising at more like 85, 65 feels pretty slow!
Hey y'all! Recently purchased a 1994 Scamp 16 and the previous owner had stickers placed on the outer shell. I removed them and their sticky residue, but there is a slight discoloration to the fiberglass where they were. I began refinishing the shell with a power polished and cutting compound, thinking that would get rid of the discoloration, but it did not. Any advice on how to remove the discoloration? Thank you all in advance!
I've had my 13' for about a year but am using the toilet for the first time. When I flush, it leaves a small amount of water in the bowl. I assume that's to help seal it from tank odors etc. However if I check back in a few minutes the water has drained out. I remember reading a post here about the seal on that flap but I can't find it. I've tried making sure to release the flush pedal quickly to try to seat the flap but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Suggestions?
update: I greased the seal and that seems to be working for now
I have a 2008 16 foot, layout 6. And my fuse/breaker panel is almost certainly a bit kluged together. Worse, I have no list/map/chart of which fuse/breaker/wire goes to what.
