What size and color butyl tape should I use when replacing a jalousie window in my 81 scamp and where can I get it? Thank you in advance for your advice.
I have a 2011 Scamp 13. Just finished a major road trip. After a big rain, none of the exterior lighting would work. 15 Amp fuse blew. I was able to isolate the short to the running lights. All the others work but if I turn on the tow vehicle headlights, zap, the exterior lighting fuze blows. I tested everything. Tow vehicle is solid with good ground and voltage. Grounds on Trailer side all check good. The short is definitely the marker lights (Brown wire).
If anyone has replaced or is going to replace their Catalina 2500 awning I would like to buy some parts from you.
I'm in immediate need of one of the legs that slides down to the ground. Either side will work.
I live in Maine so owners east of the Mississippi are the most practical for shipping purposes.
Thank you.
We have a 16' layout 6 Scamp with a forward bath. The corner sink has a faucet with a shower diverter for a hand held shower. Because the original shower diverter broke, I recently replaced the faucet with a new one purchased through Scamp. I have installed the new faucet which now has a leak under the sink on the hot water side. I removed the sink, installed the faucet without the sink and have no leaking. I pulled it apart, installed the sink back on the wall and reattached the plumbing H&C water lines.
I have a 13' scamp, 2011 with shower etc. The gray tank has been repaired in its previous life and now the repair is beginning to leak. I suspect that at one time the outlet was damaged by collision with some immovable object as the leak is right where the outlet pipe connects to the tank. These two photos are taken from at the back of the driver side tire. I have cut away the rubber like material in the area of the leak.
We just had our new Scamp delivered to us in Arizona. It was clearly driven a lot on salted roads on the way down here, and I want to get it taken care of soon, to avoid corrosion issues.
I've looked for professional services down here, but since we don't salt our roads in AZ I'm not finding anything. So now I'm looking at DIY solutions. Does anyone have any experience with removing salt from their trailer? Looking for product recommendations and application tips.
Does anyone know of a good trailer / mechanic to change the wheel bearings and do brake maintenance in Portland OR 97239? (or Vancouver Washington?) (2018 16') The driver's side brake is binding and that wheel wore unevenly. I hope I don't need a new axle. I read somewhere that sometimes the spindle can be "aligned / slightly bent back". (?) Thanks.
Plugged in the fridge to 120v AC to cool and pack for our NYE trip down the coast. Switched to 12v for travel and hit a store just 10 minutes away. Opened Scamp to load fridge and smell of electrical burning was obvious. Turned off 12v and drove another 30 minutes to campsite. Smell waned and gone after airing out at camp. Fired up the propane to test and fridge worked with no issues, noises or smells for two days. If anything, it ran colder than usual, freezing our baby carrots on the bottom shelf.
