I have a 2011 16 ft trailer. From the person I purchased from, he said it was a known problem that the thermostats dont turn off and will run if the interior temp goes below 50. That did happen to me one night and woke me up. So the seller was just taking the 15 amp fuse out , which doesn't seem a good solution. or having to turn the propane off and on each night but the fan would still run..
The straps that support the grey water tank on my 2015 Scamp 13 seem like they might not last. (Pipe hanger strapping and sheetrock screws!) Ours are very rusty already. There was a post I saw last year from someone who had their grey water tank fall off! Should I worry? Have others had problems with the grey water tank support straps? What are you folks that are rebuilding older Scamps doing, if anything, about this. Thanks for your thoughts on this issue.

My first post here. I just purchased a 1984 13 foot Scamp and I have a few questions about the fridge.
1. Does the frisge make noise when it's on? I was able to start the pilot when running with propaen, and I can hear the flame burning, but I can't hear any noise coming from the fridge.
I am new to this and trying to find info on how to replace rivets and caps and about bute tape? I don't know anything but would like to know are the rivet pop or solid rivet etc, etc
We are going to be doing some floor repair on our 19 (not deluxe). We will need to remove the front bench, shower, and kitchen cabinet all along the road side of the trailer. This is my first time doing floor repair so I figure it will take a few days. But, I only have a week, so I'll be putting these structures back by the end of the week come hell or high water.
Do I need to support the shell of the camper while I'm doing this to prevent deformation of the shell? Will I have a hard time getting the shower to fit if I don't brace the shell in some way?
Hello, we have a 2013 16 footer. We went to Half Moon Bay in CA last week (great place) and the first day the heater work as it should. The next morning we turned in on and the fan was going but no heat. I did not hear the clicking of the pilot lighter. In the afternoon I tried it and it worked again, fan on, clicking then heat. I turned it off and about an hour later I tried it but it did not heat just blew air and as not worked since. This was on battery power.
The fiberglass on my Scamp is cracking around the door. There is one crack about six inches long on one side and two smaller cracks on the other side. This is a 2014 Scamp so I'm rather disappointed. More importantly, I want to know how to repair this.
