Curve in my axle, 1978 13'???

I replaced my axle with one from Scamp. The old axle was curved up, to the center. The new one is straight. Were they built straight, or curved? Thanks!

Bent up

The original Alko and Dexter axles are bent up in the center to provide positive camber. When you order a Dexter axle you have to choose it as an option. I don't know if the Lippert axles come with positive camber. I just never dealt with the newer Lippert axles.

Thank you for your comments Eddie.

I had not closely checked the axle when we bought it. What made me think that the axle may have been manufactured with a curve, is that the angle iron floor frame, which is located next to the axle, was not damaged. I appreciate your response.

Our 2019 13 has the Lippert and it appears straight.
