Fired up the Dometic AC in Scamp yesterday and it blew out mostly warm air. I bought it several months ago so this was the first time I tried the AC. I read several articles on RV air conditioners and they suggested it could either be dirty or a bad capacitor. How hard is it to replace the capacitor and where would I purchase one? Appreciate any advise from the community.

Dometic AC
It has been a very long time since I had the cover off my Coleman AC. But the compressor usually has a capacitor mounted near it and there is usually a set of values printed on it. with Voltage 125 or 250 or377 and, Capacity like 5 Micro-farad ( MF) . also often a second cap is used for the Fan motor. If the compressor and fan are both running the Capacitors are not bad and looking deeper into the issue will be necessary. You can usually hear or feel the compressor kick on when Cool is selected and it is above the set point of the thermostat . Obviously moving parts and high voltage is exposed when the cover is off. so extreme care needs to be used.
