We have a 2000 19. The ac blows fairly cold but not as cold as our 2013 13. This week while traveling the blower has started acting up. When we turn the power on the compressor kicks on but the blower doesn't budge. When I take off the cover and give it a spin it'll work, but it won't start on it's own. What should I do? I'm happy to replace parts but if an 18 year old ac is worth fixing vs replacing I don't know.
Has anyone taken one of these apart? I loosened the threaded primer handle connection, applied plumbers tape, and the leak was still there. I bought an O-ring to see if it would help stop the leak, and now the threaded primer handle connection won't screw back into the faucet. Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time!
Next project is replacing rivets....have never done this...read lots of posts, but not sure what rivet sizes I will mainly need. Would like to have some on hand before I start pulling them....most appear to be anchored in the acorn nuts holding up the cabinets. Ours is a 2003 Scamp 16 if that helps? Also the vent and escape hatch have about a bazillion silicone caulked rivets.....do those all need to come out too?
I went on the Scamp site, and they list the sizes....but not what goes where.
Just connected and primed our brand new Valterra chrome Rocket hand pump, and water is leaking from where the primer handle connects to the faucet (albeit very slowly). Any suggestions for a quick fix? We're headed out in 4 days.
HI.....we have picked up our new to us 2003 Scamp 16. Trying to figure out how to hook the water line to the pump. When I started to fill the water tank, I went inside to check and saw water flowing! It appears there are TWO unconnected lines.....not sure what to call them.
New member but owned our 1990 13foot Scamp Deluxe since 1998. Have moved to a 55 & older community and store the Scamp in our outside storage area. We've noticed our finish is chalking some and have researched Zep wet look floor finish. Does anyone have any experience with using it? And, I assume that I would have to compound first to remove the chalky residue. Please advise. Thanking everyone in advance.
Hi, new owner here and trying very hard to get familiar with our 16ft Scamp. It was built in 1991 and I have no idea how much it may have been modified. In doing research I have found that there should be a pump between the shower and the gray water tank. Does any one know when this was initiated? Should I have one and if so where.
Also appears my gray water drain has been modified, can someone tell me the correct fixtures and angle. mine is on a 90 deg elbow facing rear of trailer.
I checked the side porch light and it works fine. checked the front porch light and it does not work. switched the bulbs to see if it was a bulb issue and it still did not work. So what other things do it need to check. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, just picked up my first Scamp a few days ago. I discovered on the way home that the hatch popped open while driving. It seems the crank is stripped and I can’t close the hatch tightly, or at least not tight enough to keep it closed while driving. It is currently being held shut with duct tape. Is it possible to replace the crank, fix the crank, or the does the whole hatch need to be replaced?
I need to adjust the brakes on my 2015 13 Scamp. I noticed an access hole in the backing plate of the brake drum. Can you adjust the brakes through this access hole? Certain manuals indicate that you need to take the brake drum off and measure the diameter of the drum and adjust the brake according to the measurements. Sounds complicated. We are leaving for Cody, WY at the end of this month to meet the grandkids. Thanks. Deb and Wayne .
