Hi, the tire on my scamp trailer is bent inward, the tread on the inside of the tire is worn. Would it be a bent axle or something else? I had hit a bad pothole and think this is what caused the problem. Appreciate any input.
First day out on our most recent off-grid 11 day camping trip the Dometic fridge in our Scamp 19 wouldn't turn on with gas. Clicking aplenty, lots of propane, new regulator last year, and on the previous trip with electric hookup we had no problem; but now no ignition. Turned it into an icebox for two days then opened the outside fridge compartment and removed the chimney baffle to see if I could see anything wrong.
I have a 2001 16 ft Scamp with a 18x42 rear sliding window that leaks badly. There are two exterior gaskets, both of which look like they have shrunk. Anyone with similar experience that they have resolved?? Where to order gaskets? Also, does the sliding glass riding in the bottom frame grove, have a drain in that same grove??
I have a 2004 19ft. scamp, and I need to replace the fresh water tank drain valve. Every time I try to drain the fresh water tank, It leaks water onto the floor of the tank compartment area. Can anyone help me please. Thanks, Mark
That's our new old 83 Scamp! We're doing an inside and outside restoration and after thinking about all the things we have to do, I decided exterior paint would be first, because both the front and back window gaskets leak, so they are getting replaced. And before replacing I figured we should paint the exterior. I've read up on some of the painting and other threads here and have a few questions.
Hi All, We have a new to us 2016 13ft scamp and took our first long trip last month. When we were driving the gravel roads out west for any length of time we ended up with lots of dust inside that appears to come in through the back window. I searched the forums expecting to get some ideas, but either used the wrong search terms or this is atypical. Has any one else had this problem and figured out a solution?
I have to admit it, I'm out of my depth. I am not comfortable replacing the ancient copper tubing and equally ancient regulator on my '82 Scamp 13'. I am asking if anyone in the Denver, Colorado area knows of a good, reliable place to take the camper to in order to have the work done by an expert. My own searches have only revealed shops that claim to know how to fix things that are wrong with the Scamp, only to get it back still not working. I'm hoping for that diamond in the rough, that hidden gem of a shop that actually knows a thing or two about old Scam
The pump that drains the shower pan seems to have slowed to a drip. Last trip it took over 40 minutes to empty the water from the shower. Is this normal? Seems like it used to be MUCH faster! Any suggestions?
We have a 06 16 feet scamp and there is water coming thruogh one of the 12 volt lights under the cabinet (over the dinette). Can't tell where it's coming from. Anyone have any similar problem or solution?
