I have to admit it, I'm out of my depth. I am not comfortable replacing the ancient copper tubing and equally ancient regulator on my '82 Scamp 13'. I am asking if anyone in the Denver, Colorado area knows of a good, reliable place to take the camper to in order to have the work done by an expert. My own searches have only revealed shops that claim to know how to fix things that are wrong with the Scamp, only to get it back still not working. I'm hoping for that diamond in the rough, that hidden gem of a shop that actually knows a thing or two about old Scamps. Anyone? Thanks ahead of time for any location advice y'all can provide.

Replacing LP gas regulator and old metal hose
I have updated several trailers to get away from the outside copper LP line. Getting all the parts together is a problem if you buy them locally especially the bulkhead fitting. I contact Scamp and order parts from them. Just tell them you need everything from the tank to and include the bulkhead fitting. Also ask for the separate frame mount for the regulator. After you have the parts find a gas stove or generator shop they should have a certified gas person to piece things together. They will need to cut/ flare/ bend the copper line under your front bench and attach it to the new bulkhead fitting. The bulkhead fitting is usually mounted above the frame rail.

PS: Ask that they make sure you have all the parts/ fittings needed. Maybe ask if their installer will verify all parts that are needed are shipped.
