Saw two 16' eggs at the Grand Rapids MN fairgrounds this weekend during a music gathering. One was a 16' layout 4 and the other was a BRAND NEW deluxe 16' side dinette with the lovely birch woodwork. Mel knew he was in trouble when they pulled in because he insisted on bringing his big Holiday Inn on wheels so I missed a chance to show off my little 13' w/bathroom. Both campers let me take a tour. Scamp folks are gracious!
A couple of weeks ago we saw a newer 13ft Scamp driving into Assateague National Seashore for some beach camping. I missed the tow vehicle, I was too busy admiring the teeny tiny air conditioner on their roof. Welcome to the Eastern Shore Mystery Scamp, the beach is a perfect spot to spend a few days and we don't see many Scamps out here.
In late May, we were heading back down from Oregon to California with our 16 ft Scamp and decided to stay at a little known campground in Colusa, CA, along the Sacramento River. We saw a little older (13 ft., 1980's) Scamp there, and thought how interesting that there were TWO Scamps in the same little campground! They were from a small town on the coast, and we are from a small town at the south end of the Sierra's. Needless to say, we had a good chat and plan on meeting again someday...
There is a huge bluegrass fest in my town, Lyons Colorado, this weekend called "RockyGrass." 5,000 fans come to our town of 2,000 people. Tonight in the campground I saw a 13 ft Scamp. The door was open and I could see it looked very orderly inside. The floor did not have carpet and maybe had wood? It was nighttime and it's very dark so I couldn't see very well.
just returned home to Normal, IL from a 2 week trip to North Carolina. Saw a 19 ft. and a 13 ft a few miles apart in eastern Illinois on the first day of traveling. (July 12)

Gee I sure would like to know more about that AC unit. Since it sounds like you did not get a close look, are you sure it was not a MaxxAir?
I didn't see what the a/c unit was. It just seemed smaller than our 2008 Colemn Mach.

Eggs are everywhere!!
A Scamp 5er in a storage lot in Heber, AZ and a Scamp 13 in a national park in Lakeside, AZ.
My guess is we have a new SOI member who listed a Scamp 5er and is located in Heber so that is probably his Scamp.
