We missed each other by just a day! We passed through Danbury on Sunday the 21st in our 16' Scamp on our way from Scranton, PA (Promised Land state park) to Newport, RI.
Spotted a 16' Scamp in the campground in Mackinac City in the upper lower Peninsula of Michigan.
Completely white without the Red Scamp on sides. It did have a Scamp spare tire cover.
We saw this as we pulled out early this AM with our new 16' Scamp.
Here to learn from others, what works and what doesn't
OK, October 24 weekend look for a sharp looking 16 ft. Scamp headed to Kentucky lake! Route will take us to highway 64 east to Mt. Vernon IL, then southbound highway 57 to highway 24 to the lake! Hey out there, if 62 and over, as I am, get your card at the check in at any state park. Cost is $10.00 and goves the visitor $10.00 per night discount at camping sites in ANY state! They are waiting for me upon my arrival for my card!
We will be picking up our "Egg -13" in eleven days - we're excited. Yesterday we drove up the Colorado Monument to check out the camping sites. We spoke to the camp host who said there was an "Egg - 19" at the site. We found them and had a nice talk. We discovered we're both from Grand Junction, just at the bottom of the Monument, and don't mind camping just a few miles from home. The Colorado Monument is a mini Grand Canyon. It takes your breath away. So if your traveling to the National Parks and head for the Grand Mesa National Park, the Colorado Monument is right next door and worth taking a look.
I had my cousin's Scamp 13 for 2 weeks in Utah and stayed in Grand Junction at the start and the end of the trip--the state campground to the west of GJ--loved it. Went to CO Monument NP and even after being in all of the big parks in Utah, were totally impressed!! I'll be taking my own Scamp out to that part of the state next summer. I live in Estes Park and it gets a bit crowded up here in the summer! I'm seeing more CO people on here. Maybe we'll have to have a get-together out this way!

On our return from Kentucky Lake, we observed a 13 ft. Scamp south bound on highway 57 at Ina Illinois!
