The new door seal is ordered through Scamp Trailers parts dept.
It comes in a continuous roll and goes in the same location as the old seal that is removed. A U around the door from the bottom of one side to bottom of the other. If I recall I had to cut it at the door jamb area and continue below. The bottom part of the door straight across is just a piece of standard weatherstripping from hardware store, recommend rubber. I’ll see if I have any pics of my 19 seal Install and post them.
This is the only one of the completed seal I could find, but I'll be over there all weekend so if there are any in particular you'd like me to take in more detail let me know.
Right now the plate is pulled at the bottom until I finish the kitchen redo and the flooring. there is a metal insert that goes across the door opening and over the floor. A flat rubber seal that you get at any hardware store approx 3/4" width with sticky back goes across the bottom. I do have some of the door seal Scamp sent and will check to see if it would work across the bottom, but normally it is just standard weatherstripping.
I had Scamp install a new door seal a year or so ago at the factory. They installed one continuous piece around the sides and top, then cut a bottom piece to overlap both sides (notched the bottom piece to form flaps to overlap the side pieces) These "flaps" were hot glued to the side pieces.
After install, make sure all pieces stay in place when closing the door, they eventually "set" in place, and door closing is much easier. Took a couple of months of frequent use.
Good info, Thanks. I have enough of the door seal left I’m going to try that. I should have the remaining floor in soon and can give that a shot for the bottom seal.
Once again, the adhesive on the back of the new Scamp seal is if I recall Gorilla glue and one needs to be certain before sticking it on. It’s not real forgiving to make any adjustments after it’s stuck on so you want to get it right the first round.

Sweet, thanks!
So you ran the seal around 3 sides of the door (right side, left side and top) but you did not run a piece of seal along the bottom of the door.
How does the bottom seal?

Thanks Greg.
Please advise regarding the scamp seal across the bottom.
By my measurements I should have enough extra "new" Scamp seal to put a piece across the bottom.
my 96 does not have a metal insert can i buy one from scamp
