Replacing old style water tank fill receptacle with new style

I've searched the maintenance forums and have found only one related post regarding my issue.  I have a 2000 13' Scamp with the old "urinal" style fresh water tank filler receptacle.  It is fractured and needs replacement.  Scamp only sells a flat style fresh water filler.  Both have 3 rivet or screw mounting holes.  My question is for those who may have dealt with this upgrade ... do the mounting holes match the pre-existing holes?  Does the attached filler spout/neck fit inside the filler tube of the water tank?  And lastly, is the overall installation fairly straightforward and seamless, or is there modification(s) required?  On one other related post, it seems that Camco sells a similar old style, but one comment says that the filler spout does not fit the water tank receiving tube.  As a general observation, it doesn't seem that a secure fresh water receptacle is available, but that the current flat style would be more secure from those who might find sport in depositing nefarious liquids in one's receptacle.  Thank you in advance.

Call Scamp

In my experience, the folks at Scamp are knowledgeable about such things and very willing to help. I'm sure they've done this conversion and know what to watch out for.

I converted the pull out power cable fitting (mouse hole as some describe it) to a plug-in style. I spoke with them several times along the way.
