Lug/Torque Wrench

Can anyone tell me what lug/torque wrench you have for a Scamp 13? If I read correctly, I need a 3/4" for the tires on the trailer but a 1/2" for the spare tire. I looked around a few places and at a bunch of the "Cross" lug nut wrenches that have the 4 different sizes on them, but none of them had a 1/2", they all had 3/4" but then some other varying sizes. I'm just trying to figure out which lug nut wrench I should buy that would do the trick or if there is some kind of torque wrench I should use instead with a variety of socket sizes. Any recommendations?

Torque Wrench

I'd standardize on the 1/2" and buy the appropriate 1/2" sockets.

Harbor Freight has a very popular 1/2" torque wrench that they put on special fairly often that is around $20. In fact, it's on sale right now!

Torque Wrench and Sockets

I can personally vouch for the Pittsburg 1/2 inch drive Torque Wrench. It is a Great Tool at a Great Price !!!!

I would also recommend buying the appropriate sized Sunex Thin Wall Deep Sockets to fit your Scamp and Tow Vehicle. These Impact sockets are designed for wheel removal and have a protective cover that can protect your custom wheels (if you have them)..

I would probably not spend the money to buy a Sunex socket for the spare tire unless you wind up buying it in a set of sockets. A regular 1/2 inch socket would work just fine.

Update 6/2017 -- I can no longer recommend the Harbor Freight Torque Wrench (Pittsburg Brand) -- Mine DIED !!!!

I don't know why, it just died.

However, The Kobolt 1/2 inch Torque Wrench I replaced it with is FANTASTIC !!!

This is a well-built tool that feels great in your hand and operates as smooth as silk !!

Kobolt tools are sold at lowes.

As Always,

Happy Scamping !!!

Spare Tire Studs

The spare tire is held on with the same size nuts, 13/16" as the wheels. BUT YOU WILL NEED A DEEP SOCKET to remove the spare tire. The mounting studs are too long, (at least on our 2015 13 std.)  to use a regular socket.
