Envy

Well, I am torn between being excited for you and envy!  Well, I guess I'll go with "excited for you".  Spring has pretty much sprung so I can imagine that is really putting you on the edge of your chair, in a "get ready (which you are), get set (looks you  have covered that), and "go" which can't possibly  come soon enough which I guessing that your post above is indicating.  You're close now, really close.

New Scamp

Hi Cathy, It's funny how this thread started with a complaint about uncovering a battery case and ended up with an enthusiastic talk about a new Scamp!blush.  I hope my travels  will help me meet all the "Eggers" and others that I've met on the web.  We all have the same needs; freedom, a common interest and friendship.   Hope I see you out there!  Take care, Bill

Propane Tank Mounting

The dual LPG tank mounting plate on my 2015 13 Scamp was mounted an inch off line as delivered so that the jack handle cleared the right side LPG tank by 1/8 inch. I straightened the tank mounting plate by drilling a new hole an inch forward of the old hole. Now the tanks are straight, there is hand clearance for turning the jack handle and I can still get the battery cover off. At least one person at Scamp doesn't care about the end product or customer. Just putting in his time and collecting his check!!!

Yes, I discovered that the LP

Yes, I discovered that the LP tank tray was mounted about a 1/2" out of square, biased in on the right side.  I removed the bolt, squared it up, fastened the tray down, and the battery cover is now easily removed.  So, not so much a "design flaw" as I initially wrote but rather a failure to inspect and verify the tank tray location during manufacturing.
