I don't yet have my Scamp to look at the battery case. MIScamp, it would be helpful if you could contact Mike and explain exactly what the problem is. I was unable to visualize exactly what the problem is.
I am so delighted to hear this. All of the above is minor and rather silly to exchange about. Very minor adjustment, if any, and the problem is solved. We have had absolutely no problems taking the top of,our battery case off. Tanks can be moved easily as the bracket can be moved slightly. Are you getting dual LP tanks? We were delighted to get 2 on our new to us Scamp!. You will so love your Scamp like nothing else! What size? We have a 16, and just adore it.
It's a 16' Standard with dual tanks. If boondocking is in the future as I plan, I figger I'll need the propane for the fridg and furnace. The wealth of information on this site is mind boggling! I'll be here often! The trailer will likely sit in the driveway for a while 'til I I install a better sewer hose and storage tube. I certainly plan to add an 8" mattress on the rear bunk as I've seen a number of members do. I'll be getting a portable Renogy solar set as well, probably 100-120 watts. I opted for delivery of the trailer because I've got to be available here in New Jersey until my sailboat is sold. Champing at the bit!!
Such great plans, and that's what it is all about Scamping! Nice selection on the 16. Scamp was born on the model 13 but buyers now seem to be opting more for the 16. More room, storage, and comfort. Side dinette is also the favored child too, as ours is. Nice job on the solar, someone way out there in our future, nothing for the immediate future. We enjoy the commarqdwrie of groups at parks with all the features of full hook ups, pools, and fun stuff to do.
Thanks Greg. Will miss the boat but looking forward to seeing parts of the country that I've only ever seen from 30,000 feet. Doug, I got a side dinette model so I can keep the rear bunk set up permanent. I will definitely post pics. I've already set up a blog., CharlieWhiskey's Escapes.

We have the dual tank set up and absolutely no problem taking the battery case top off.

Doug, Thanks for commenting. I'm dropping the issue. In about two weeks I should have my new Scamp in the driveway!

I'm sure you're ready to go pick the egg up from the hatchery. Get us lots of pics of the new 16 when you get up there. Early congratulations.

I've requested that my blog be listed in the Travel Blogs section. A premature move, I know, but I'm having trouble restraining my anticipation
