Scamp Production Numbers 2022

I just read on the Scamp Facebook page that a total of 630 Scamps were made in 2022. It didn't say how many of each size were made.  With so few made each year, it's no wonder we rarely see one, and that used ones are hard to find.  It does appear that they are planning to increase production in 2023.

Glad they are still around

The 13'  is light enough for my truck. It is hard to find a trailer with a bath in that weight category. With so few made it keeps resale value up. I was lucky and found a used one only a few hours from where I live and a few thousand less than what one just like mine went for in boulder. Same year too.

Production Capability

They just completed and opened for production, in 2022, a new building where all the13 foot trailers will be built. This is their biggest seller and has the highest demand. I think upwards of 60 percent (or more) of their demand is for the 13. With the additional building,  it will be interesting to see how many they build in 2023 or 2024. Before surpassing the 600 mark, they stayed around 500 during the pandemic years.

That is not a lot compared other rv companies

Jayco makes about 50,000 a year.

Years ago I had seen a Burro and that's what got me looking for a molded fiberglass trailer. I sorta like the retro look.

The others

That's why Jayco, Forest River, etc all sell in dealerships and in shows, and more... all Scamps are sold there only by their salesmen. Indiana is known as the RV capital of the world. Scamp keeps quality control high and has no desire to grow exponentially. It is still your local mom and pop company.

Quality control is another

Quality control is another reason scamps hold value.
