Quartzsite

Dates are posted for Quartzsite Gathering as Tom mentioned above. We are no longer hosting Quartzsite since the 2020 gathering and there currently is no host, but it is a simple gathering/get-together.

For information and details see the 2020 gathering post:

Always is a good time and is free, so hope folks are able to go.

Thinking about making the trek to Quartzsite 2022

How many fiberglass RV's usually show up?  Any here going?

Quartzite

In 2020, the last year SOI ran the gathering, we had approx 227 trailers. Then the Pandemic hit and they had about 30-40 in 2021. It is sounding like they should be back over 100 this year, but no real way to tell. Should be a blast whomever is out there for it. Great group always gathers there for the gathering.

Quartzsite 2022

Bowing out of the 2022 Quartzsite trip. Omicron hospitalization totals are at the highest of the pandemic, and Dr. Fauci predicts 300,000 more US deaths by March, when it should decline. Hoping some of the late summer/early fall trips are doable.

The cool kids play outside.

Q22

Definitely risky right now to be in large gatherings, Tom. Everyone needs to make a decision that they feel comfortable with. I haven't been back at Q since the last one SOI hosted in 2020 right before the pandemic hit, and not going this year. We're heading out on an extended trip, but will be very cautious, mostly outdoor stuff, just the two of us and no crowds or dining in. I think for the foreseeable future, we've personally 86'd gatherings. I'm not sponsoring any SOI gatherings either, until further notice, as I'd feel horrible if someone came to our gathering and got seriously ill.

God Bless, and hope to see you again out there!
