I will be towing my new Scamp with the above mentioned vehicle. Wondering if anyone else is towing with an older Sienna? Specifically, what kind of a ball mount are you using? How much rise do you need? Scamp specs say about 21" to top of 2" ball from ground. I'm looking at a Curt #45110 Class 3 Ball Mount, 5,000 lbs, 10' drop and 8" rise. I should mention that the Toyota was bought from an LOL, is in excellent condition with 60k miles on the odo.

We would need to know the distance from the ground to the top of the receiver tube as well as the sag when hitched (about 1.5" on my f150). You will also find that it looks different when parked in different places and with load changes due to LP and water. I temporarily used an adjustable height hitch to find the drop I needed then bought a fixed one, still did not get it correct. I did a little fine tuning with one of the balls in the picture.
do not forget to add the ball height

We all love to be DIYers, but if you aren't experienced in balancing a rig, make an appointment at a reputable UHaul or horse trailer dealer. Take both the TV and trailer to them and have them set you up. You can estimate the height you need and borrow or buy a cheap hitch to get you there. One less thing to wonder or worry about!

Thanks for everyone's comments. The Sienna is all set for towing with the proper Curt hitch receiver and brake controller installed. I have calculated within a few inches as to what the rise should be but was hoping that someone with an older Toyota Sienna could provide a more exact number. When I pick it up I may bring along a couple of ball mounts of different shank lengths so I can choose the right one, and then return the unused ones.
