We loved the Giani Granite FG-GI SICILIAN Sicilian Granite Paint Kit For Countertops, Sicilian Sand so much in our Escape 17 countertop project that we decided to try the Scamp 13 table with the remaining product.
First step after sanding and cleaning the table is to roller on the special primer base which is black. Step two is to start applying the colors with a loofa sponge:
After you get the color layers and pattern you want then 3 coats of Sealer and a couple of days of dry time.
Great Job and a nice touch. I am curious does this product have to be applied on a horizontal surface or could it be applied to a verticle surface as well. I am thinking the FG on the cabinets.
Thanks for the kind comments...
Yes, it will apply vertically or horizontally as you can do the backsplashes in place and tape them off according to the instructions. These are the materials that are listed on the Giani website that it should work with. Fiberglass is not listed, but similar material are.
I'd probably test it on a scrap or inconspicuous area of the fiberglass counters before proceeding. If you attempt the project I definitely want to see the results, it's a potentially cool idea.
