Rivets/screws

Do you use washers, butyl tape and snap  caps on rivets and screws?

Sealing rivets

Has anybody used aluminum sealing rivets? The base is solid eliminating one point of leakage. McMaster Carr sells them for a reasonable price. I am sure you can get them at other places. I would still use some butyl tape around the shank.  This should eliminate teh need for snap caps.  https://www.mcmaster.com/rivets/rivet-type~blind/aluminum-domed-head-sea...

i just used what scamp

i just used what scamp recommends, the rivets and the snap caps they sell.  i don't think there is a need for butyl tape, some put a little sealant/silicon in the snap cap just in case water gets into the snap cap, but i found that just the rivet and cap works as intended.
