Has anybody used aluminum sealing rivets? The base is solid eliminating one point of leakage. McMaster Carr sells them for a reasonable price. I am sure you can get them at other places. i just used what scamp recommends, the rivets and the snap caps they sell. i don't think there is a need for butyl tape, some put a little sealant/silicon in the snap cap just in case water gets into the snap cap, but i found that just the rivet and cap works as intended.
