Order Placed for 13' Scamp... Can You Help?

I placed my order for my 13' Scamp last week, and we're working toward a completion date on mid-January.

I decided to add AC, roof fan, furnace, toilet/shower, extra lights, and a 12v plug.

If you had it to do over, are there an other extras you wish you had right away? I would love to hear any insights you may have or words of wisdom you can provide to a future Scamp owner. I am new to Scamp-ing, so open to anything you have to offer.

Vinyl flooring?

Welcome

Depending on your camping style...maybe the larger battery, as many cabinets as you can, vinyl flooring (easy to keep clean), extra outlets, awning...just to name a few.

I am sure others will chime in.

Have fun

Bill

Thanks!

I did not see the larger battery as an option. I will look into this.

Definitely an outside AC plug

Definitely an outside AC plug, rear reading lamps, power plug to receive a micro wave oven, Kings TV antenna for sure! Outside porch light, light over tongue for assistance in night hook up, and a vinyl floor. Make sure to get the sink in the shower too. Receiver hatch on the rear bumper is good too.

Thanks

I will seriously look into an outside plug. I do have one inside plug that I was just going to add a tap to extend from two to six plugs.

New 13 Scamp

Hi,

We took deliver of our 2016 Scamp Std. 13 in March.  We opted for the big bed.  The trade off was 10" less floor length, but we gained a dinette that was much easier to get into.  We NEEDED the wider bed.  We have never used the bunk beds, but use the sofa a lot.  If you have any issues with tight spaces, be reminded that the front bath is a real visual space eater.

We cook in our 13 the back splash is a very nice touch for us.  If I were ordering a New 13, it would have the screen door and the gray water tank.  We have both and they have become must have items. We cool primitive weather camp, for us the furnace big battery and dual tanks are a plus.

Thanks!

I considered the larger bed, but I figure since it will just be me (and my cat) most of the time that I would gain a bit of extra storage space with the smaller bed.

Led lights

I don't remember if Scamp offers the LED lights or not,we changed ours out in the Scamp and ordered them in the Caisita, even I can see the differance in the draw of the battery,so if you didnt get them maybe you should. Also the outside plug,I didnt think we would really use it,but its easier to have from the factory then putting one in later. I have found that I use that plug a lot, either to plug in the Keurig or charge a device I am working with while sitting outside

Good Call!

Do you know the bulb style/brand/model that you use? I would like to research LED bulbs.

Dont remember

We sold our Scamp but we bought the LED bulbs for it at Camping World.they were pricey but I really liked them and they drew nothing from the battery. The ones in the new Casita I dont know as it is in storage or I would go look for you
