Thanks, Sandra!

Thanks, Sandra!

Personally, the neutral vinyl that was in the trailer just really didn't work for me.  This really has changed the whole look of the trailer and it is very warm.  It also has added some much needed contrast of light and dark to the interior.  Changing to the closed cell blinds with a more contrasting color also made a huge improvement to the interior.  We were in the early Escape runs before they offered interiors that are closer to the changes we just made.  The nice thing is that these changes are not brand or model specific, they'll work very nicely on any molded fiberglass trailer.

Scamp flooring

Greg,

Great looking flooring job and it does make your scamp shine, inside as well.  I have a question off this flooring subject, I have been submitting a few ideas as a new Scamp owner latelyi, how do post your photos to be bigger than the automatic posting size?  All of the photos I wish to post are made smaller and I love to show detail up close if possible on posting for all to see clearly.  Am I missing something here as to how to resize your photos for this forum.?  My photos in my computer are made 640X480.  If you look at the (trailer modifications) in our bb forum under my name you will see I do wish to present my photos a little larger like yours if possible.

I did not mean to hijack your thread here, but do enjoy your posts and advise.  experience is educational to us all and we apprecaite it.  Thanks ahead of time for all your support, ideas & suggestions as well as guidance.

Enjoying your posts

Hi Gary

I went back and enlarged your photos on some of your posts so you can see the difference.  The trick to the photos is to get your cursor positioned in the editor window where you want it before you go down and upload a photo.  Upload the photo and then there is a drop down that is set to medium that allows you to select "large" and then click insert.  This will give you a bigger photo in the post.  Before you do your next photo make sure your cursor is where you want it in relation to the first photo and then go down and repeat the process for the next photo.  If you don't like where the photos are you can simply click on them in the editor window and hit your delete key.  That removes the photo from the post but not below in the upload section. Reposition your cursor in the post where you want the picture, select the size and hit insert and it will put the photo back in your post.

Hope that helps, it is pretty easy to play around with it once your photos are uploaded.

Photo enlargement

Greg,

You'd the man.  I have edited one of myi post now to enlarge my submitted photos, one more question though,  Now I make them a little large to put side by side, maybe this cannot be done because of the size when you push (Large) on the menu?  But I will live with it, now everyone can see more detail, I appreciate your time.

Glad that helped.  We'll most likely be beefing up the photo upload capabilities in the near future. Since we just launched the new website in Nov we kept to a more basic capability for now.

Did you use the underlayment?

I have an older  (83) 16' Scamp that Im considering doing a floating floor on.  Your job looks very nice, but wondering if you used the underlayment foam that seems to be part of that system.  Also wondering if you did the vertical sides deep under the cabinets.  My interior is fiberglass, not the fancy one you have!

Thanks

Doug

Underlayment

Doug,

Allure vinyl plank flooring is a complete floating floor product. The underlayment is already incorporated in to bottom of each plank, the tongues are pre glued so they simply hook up and then the glues sets over the next 24 hours. One of the cautions when installing Allure flooring is to get the joints as tight as possible when installing. After a few pieces you kinda get the hang of it.

Flooring

well, our Scamp came with nice looking carpeting. Easy to keep clean too. We placed throw rugs on the floor and could not keep them from curling up and moving. We had our master bedroom layed with new carpeting, high grade Mohawk carpeting. We had plenty left over for a full length runner, which was bound on the edges for a finished look. Great feeling on the bare feet in the morning! Will post pictures soon.
