I was looking for a cheap Scamp it fix up, and for less than I was willing to pay, I ended up with this spotless Scamp, that looks like it come out of the show room, even the rug is clean and spotless and, everything is original in it, thou it's out dated. The cushions are a brown, BIG plaid that I'd like to replace, some day. The curtains were decayed from the sun. So, I made new curtains and pillows to match, one pillow holds my bed pillow, the other pillow holds a wool blanket. and the rubber around the front and back window is cracked, so I'll need to replace that.
Well all in good time. Right now, I need to get wiring, converter, charger and a battery to be able to camp.
I took off the aged brown trim that was on the elephant hide. Do you know where I can find new trim for the elephant hide?

Filling the cracks with ALEX calking and dabbing it with a sponge works well to cover/fill up the cracks. I smooth the calking level first then dab it with a damp sponge. Scamp used double sided foam tape and put talcum power on the outside to kill the outside adhesive. But it now appears talcum power can cause cancer.
I really liked caulking the seams on the elephant hide. It takes a lil bit of practice, but you can make them invisible. The only problem would be since you aren't painting the hide it will be a little tougher to match the color.
It sure does Doug, It's very rusty and has pitting too. That will till spring. Now I'm buffing on the 3M Restore, getting ready for a New England winter. I'v done a lot of work inside since I got it in the end of July.
Thanks Flyboy, It is a very cute trailer.

Thanks Eddie,
Does the ALEX calking stay pliable? And is it an outside calking? It will freeze in the Scamp.
I'm a little slow getting back to this, haven't spent much time on my PC. Been changing some things in the Scamp.

Nice find! Rear bumper could use some sanding and repainting. Other than that, looking good! Nice trailer for sure! Very clean.
