Just but my 13' Scamp ( 70's Dream) away for the season just thought i would but it out there for discussion thinking of butting it up on blocks to take weight off suspension.

Up on blocks ?
Yes, get most of the weight off the axle by putting jack stands (or blocks) under the frame near the axle. I also have the stabilizer jacks down for safety, but not holding much weight.
Jack stands ............ How many?
Do you place them on the frame on each side of the axle? So I guess I would need two per side?
Do you stay hitched to your TV or just chock the opposite side when jacking up one side?
I see the Scamp manual describes doing this for long periods of storage but never describes the best way to do it.
sorry for all the questions
Jeff
I only use 2 on my 16'. Just behind the axle. There is not much room to both jack it up and place a jack stand under there with out pinching a brake wire. (mine is parked on a bed of rail road ties, so it cant roll.)
Just put ours up on jack stands Friday.

So I put my jacks on, what I assume :), is the axle cover. I take it this is the wrong place?

Yes. The axle cover is not a good point. I would move the stands to the frame. As soon as you can. If you look up the axle manufacturer they say no. When I jack ours up it is on a dirt floor of a pole barn so it doesn't move. The wheel chocks sound like a good idea on the other wheel.

I only use two jack stands on the frame of the Scamp as close to the axle as possible. I don't have it hooked to TV while doing it. I do have the tongue jack down on a 2 X6 making the trailer level front to back before starting to jack with a bottle jack. The floor of the barn is level.
