Interesting...from Facebook

A young couple, Denise and Phil Underwood, who used to host a really fun hillbilly themed fiberglass egg rally, named "The Hill-a-paloosa"  at Miller Creek RV Park in Johnson City, TX each February recently posted this photo on Facebook.

They are much like our glorious leaders of the SOI in that their family has grown out of their small egg (a Casita) so they got a larger egg (in this case a Bigfoot).  They are apparently headed to the Bandera Texas Rally pulling their mother-in-laws "Love Bug".

Watch it Gregg, you had better hang on to one of your beautifully restored 13 footers.  Just in case...LOL

For critters

Thanks for the idea Bob,I told Launey we should do that and then Abbie could have her own private quarters lol,and I would have more room in the Casita.(and we could maybe add a sister for her}

Maine bound ?

This is the time of year when I start to see more and more Scamps up in this part of mid coast Maine . Most are on their way to Acadia /Bar Harbor or in the Camden State Park area.

I live in Belfast,so if any of you are passing thru  let me know and I'll deep an eye open for you  ,and pass along info about the area ,sights ,camping ,etc.

Course...I may not be around ,but out on the road in my '84  !

Rhubarb Festival/Lanesboro MN

Yup, they *eggs) are everywhere. In Lanesboro, a campground/, Old Barn evidently had a number of Scamps, but we happened upon one in an adjacent campground to where the annual rhubarb festival was being held.  Yes, people in MN do anything and everything to enjoy the summer months.  Keeping in mind, we are still waiting for the hatchery to ramp up, we are without one yet.  Still it didn't stop me from checking it out and meeting up with Judy and Don from Rochester, MN.  Great couple and hospitality flourished and also got some really good info on items they personally added on, and information on a wireless digital braking system (still need to do more research on that),  They didn't seemed too surprised at our inquiries as evidently they are approached often.  Perhaps they should get a guest book.  It appears the Scamp can sell itself.    And the rhubarb goodies; well the church ladies probably declared a profit after husband made three passes and came home with a grocery size bag of sweets.  One can only wonder what awaits next weekend.  Have a good week all. byes

Was that you?

Travelling from Spokane, WA to the Bison Range in Montana yesterday I was shocked that not only did I see one Scamp.....I saw three. One travelling on MT 135 toward the Bison Range and a 13' and a 16' travelling on Route 90 as I was headed back to Spokane. Anyone here?

Sightings

On my way to and from the Telluride Bluegrass Festival I saw lots of Scamps and Casitas.  When I pulled into the Matterhorn Campground outside of Telluride there were two Scamps and one Casita!  Probably the closest I'll ever come to a Scamp gathering!!:)

Rockland Maine

This morning (6/30/2016) parked on Main Street in Rockland Maine was an older Scamp 13. The tow vehicle was a white Ford Ranger with New York tags.
