i think you should reconsider the shower. We have a 2008 16, with a shower/toilet. No odors what so ever. We have used our shower extensively in many states. I have no idea of your tow vehicle, but a stout 6 cylinder is necessary for a 16. We appreciate the extra room given rhe weather, and on rainy days sure appreciate the extra room, as both of us inside for extended hours. The shower gives full flexibility to your travels.
When you add a shower you also add a floor drain, drain pump, filter, grey water tank, water heater and HW plumbing . That's why the option seems a little expensive. If you want any one of those things you might as well get the shower option. I will tell you, one of the first things people ask when buying a trailer is "Does it have a shower?" Granted the side bath showers are very tight but still useable in a pinch.
So if we choose the toilet option, what does the $799 cover? It really isn't about the cost but a better use of space for options we would use on a daily basis, not just in a pinch.
That kind of detail for a new Scamp order is probably best done on a call or emails with a Scamp salesperson. Options at a manufacturer change and adjust a good bit and to get the most accurate and current answer to that type of question would be best done with the factory. A lot of SOI members can tell you what they got when they ordered, but it may not be exactly what Scamp is offering on today's orders, and I'd want you to have the most accurate answer on that.
We are also in Michigan (Davison) if you are coming back this way and would like to see one. We have a 16ft with full size toilet and no shower and so far love it! The only drawback to no shower was no hot water heater so my husband installed a tiny one under the sink and its perfect!

I have an older, 1999 13 footer you would be welcome to come look at, but I'm on the east side of the state. I sent you a PM with more info.
