Scamp owners in Michigan

We are looking to buy a 13 or 16 foot Scamp Trailer but would like to see one up close and personal before making a decision.

Does anyone own either of these sizes, live within driving distance of Grand Rapids Michigan, and willing to let us see inside?

if so please respond ASAP. We will actually be heading to Traverse City on Friday  April 15 for  a couple of days so could fit in a stop between here and there.

Thank you.

Member Directory

You might check the membership directory I think you can sort it. You might be able to find one close by and send them a PM. Not everyone checks this forum daily.

Scamp Factory

Backus, MN where the Scamp Trailer factory is located is showing as an 11 hr drive from you. You would be able to arrange a factory tour and see all the models. Also, if you call them and ask, they keep a list of owners that are willing to show their trailers. 800-346-4962

Someone, may answer here as well that will be nearby. They usually do within a few days.

Member directory is a tremendous resource, but is only available to "Lifetime SOI Members."

Yes we are aware of the factory and may end up going there but thought it would be nice to talk to an owner and maybe save ourselves 11 hours of driving.

Connected

Thank you for supplying the phone number. I was able to find the owner of a 16 foot Scamp using that telephone number to the factory.

Just made contact with a Scamp Trailer owner about 30 minutes from our home. I called the toll free number at the Scamp factory and they helped me locate the owner of a 16 foot .

I have been to,the factory

I have been to,the factory and I can tell you first hand it is a great experience! You can see customers Scamps in production, see all the options too. I even saw one coming out of the mold, a 19 ft. model! Hope you find your Scamp, Greg always shows the RV's for sale on his responses, so,check that out too, it's how we found ours!

You are more than welcome to come see ours.

We live about an hour north of Milwaukee WI. We have a 2016 - 13ft Deluxe with a birch interior, big bed, and a front dinette.

Send us a p.m.

Saw a 16 ft. In Rockford Michigan

Our visit to Rockford Michigan to see a 16 ft. Trailer has really wet our appetite to give serious thought to buying a Scamp.

We do not think we want the shower and wonder if anyone out there just went the toilet only route. Don't think we would like the Sani potti and would prefer a regular toilet or maybe look into composting toilets. Would appreciate thoughts and feedback on this. Also we might consider the option of a 13 foot trailer but would need to see one firsthand before making that decision. Looks like there is the possibility of seeing one in Wisconsin if we don't have that option in Michigan.

Would also like feedback on how it is to sleep on the bed. The owners of the one we saw added a topper to their bed.

Thank you to all you folks who have responded to my questions thus far. Appreciate all the help and wisdom you have given.
