Did you remover the original closet or just expand the opening? (I can't tell from the pix). How did you keep fiberglass dust from getting all over the place? Love the bins! Very creative! Hope we can do this too
same closet. Bigger opening. It is just wide enough for the Trofast frame to fit thru and about 11" taller. All of the additional length is at the bottom, no cut at the top edge. If you are cutting, use masking or painters tape to prevent splintered edges. There will be fiberglass dust everywhere. Where a mask. I had one, my dad (doing the cutting) is "old school", but where a mask. I took everything out if it and then vacuumed the heck out of it. Walls too (I have rat fur). After you cut it there is an area toward the bottom that is double thick. I filled the gap with spakle then sanded the entire edge all the way around until it was smooth (mask and vacuum again). Then I very carefully painted just the edge with semi gloss paint (egg shell color). The edges are smooth and the paint matched the gel coat so I did not need any of that plastic trim they use. Of course you will need to make a bigger door
