I am sure the door faces are beautiful now! Hope we can get together at some point in this Scamp world to see it first hand. I just love what Scamp owners have done to their beloved Scamps. We too have done much, and more to come. A surprise gift for my wife is new aluminum wheels for the Scamp this spring! She made the curtains and the quilts inside.
My guys in the shop are laser cutting a 2x3 ....180 wall tube, powder coat paint it, then install. Having birch shelving made for the small 10" cabinet.
Have a custom mattress made to fit the profile of the bed w/cooling gel foam...(had one made for the 2011)
We just use it for weekend getaways and Egg Camps.
The more posts I read on this site, the more I realize how much fun people have--apart from camping--"customizing" these little trailers! We attended a "Bolerama" in Canada last year (we were the only SCAMP): the creativity on display was amazing!
Not sure what a wall tube is. April 12 we have our sink in the shower being installed at Camping World, and electric tongue jack as well. I think we are now done with out mods. Well, aluminum mag wheels for the trailer is next, then done.
My 2011 Scamp I had some Amish make solid Cherry Doors and table top..(cost $325 total)
I would think people might pay the extra for it.
And I just think Aluminum wheels are much nicer..had them on my 2011 - 13ft ..and my 2008 16 ft....got them ordered for my 2016 13 ft

Doug..we sold the 2011 back in October of 2014 to a guy in Michigan so you wont be able to see the doors
We did just pick up a 2016 Deluxe 13 footer on Jan 2nd at the factory
Oh, OK, well a new Scamp! How exciting. Any plans to modify the new one?

Doug,
Lifted 3 inches, polished hinges, aluminum wheels, shelving, black out curtains
How are you doing the lift? Weld a spacer tube or some other approach? Will that still clear the garage door, looks close in the pic?

Now that sounds nice! Our new aluminum wheels will be on early April.
