I sure hope so, they are building one just west of me right now.Should be completed in November! Will sure be good to see them open and help take care of our Scamp.
Doug,Camping world can help pass your time this winter when you cant get the Scamp out! We have two here in town,and on days we are home and have nothing to do,I always ask Launey if he wants to go to Camping World :-) That place has become the new candy store for me haha
I drive by the construction site weekly to see how it is progressing. It is going up so fast, that yes, this will be our winter fun to cruise the store and maybe find a item we could use. I so love Camping World and what it offers, and being Good Sam members we get 10% off everything in the store, and maintenance specials too. That being said, our Scamp is now 100% fixed and updated. Latest was the power converter. Pricey fix but now that is behind us. Now just to enjoy two more trips, Ozarks and KY Lake, and it gets winterized November 3. I just hate that, the long and dreadful winter! We also have a Cal Mark Cover this year to cover it up!
I hope you can really enjoy the last outting you get this fall,before having to store it away for the winter months..Thats something we just dont have to think about out here in the west,We worry more about the heat of the summers :-)
We normally get up into the 100's during peak summer days, not this summer. We had 9 strait weekends of rain in the spring into summer! Summer in large part escaped us. Our fall trips starting next weekend shall be fun. Light jackets, shopping, and relaxing. November 3 we must get it winterized. I just hate this when it happens. Shows us its over till spring of 16. We have a cover from Cal Mark and are anxious to see how it goes on. It has a zippered openiing to access the door, keeps from removing the entire cover! Lovely day here. Working my father in law's car wash business, 8 strait days now. I am getting tired of it and tomorrow is the last day. I normally work just one to two days a week here. I am tired.
Fall camping would be terrific,just wish it could last longer for all of you in the midwest,well what I call the midwest. Getting that much rain would put a damper on camping I suppose,we leave the valley here and head towards Zion in the summer,its so much nicer up there temp wise.Good thing is that you still have a little time to go and enjoy the last of the trips this year just make the best of it and have a great time.People dont realize that there is work in a car wash, Machines break that need fixed,bays need cleaned out,coin machines get stuck:-). Our brother in law ran one back in Ks.Its work!
You are so right Earlene. Fall is wonderful, 62 degrees at wake up,today. We are so anxious to get Free Spirit out and head south or west. We value our last two trips greatly. Yes, the car wash late week was working just great, both automatics and all four manuals. Then Saturday came and one automatic went down, and, one manual bay went down! Yes, it's work and things always are breaking. My father in law is 85 and I wish he would work hard to sell the place. I asked him one time, when is retirement? 88,90,93! He has worked way too long. Me, at 62 I called it. I am so glad I did. Dawn will in 4-5 years. Fall is truly beautiful now, and both Kentucky and the Lake of the Ozarks welcomes us with cool temps and lovely air.
We hope that the temps are good when we go to Tx in a few weeks to pick up the Casita.but if its not,we aren't afraid to use the furnace at night:-) We are going to take our sweet time about getting home,been sitting at home to long since selling the Scamp. People usually cant wait to retire to go do things while they still can,but there are a few that like to keep working I guess,your father in law being one of those:-). I just bet that there are many many people on here on this forum that are just waiting for retirement so they can get out and go and enjoy their little campers all they want and they cant wait for that day to come
