I may be looking to replace the old windows on my 1981 13'. Does anyone know if if I can buy these at the scamp store? The measurements I'm seeing do not seem to match. It would be the side windows.

No: SCAMP now uses a different window. We recently restored our '74 Scamp 13'. We rebuilt the rear side windows. We removed them, painted the frames aluminum, and had new glass and screen installed by a local hardware store. They look "like new."
Can I buy new ones from scamp that will fit?
I don't believe any of the current windows Scamp carries will fit the opening.
May I ask why you are wanting to replace them? Many people seek out the old style of louvered windows like you have on the early Scamps and they can be a selling point for your trailer. From your trailer pic the one on this side looks to be in pretty good shape. If they are not broken beyond repair I'd get them fixed up as Mccown did above. We had an 81 13 Scamp and loved those louvered windows. You could open the when it was rainining and adjust the amount of air flow very easily.
There are quite a few online venues to find parts for the old windows if needed.

Hello again Greg, would a window from a 82 fit a 81. I have a chance to get one shipped from Maine. Just want to be sure it will fit.
You'd need to get set of measurments and check. Scamp changed windows sometime in the early 80's, but if it's a jalousie and the measurements are a close match then I'd get it.

Thanks for the link. Maybe I will be able to fix them up. Cranks are not original or working very well and the driver side one leaks whereas the previous owner had it set up for window a.c.
I would pull both of the Jalousie windows, clean the flanges, and put fresh butyl tape around the flanges and remount them. That will take care of any leaks around the frames for years to come. Parts are available all over the web and probably locally as well. Here's another good source:

I ordered new window cranks and that took care of one window. The other one will have to be removed and repaired if possible. I'm just nervous about drilling out the rivets and riveting it back in. Do I use a bigger rivets and do all rivets need to be covered with snap caps?
To drill out the rivets is not hard just have to be careful and once you get the hang of it they go quick. Use a drill bit just a lil larger than the barrel hole in the head of the rivet. Drill slowly and the head of the rivet will separate from the shaft. Then you can use pliers from the inside or tap it through carefully from the outside. You'll develop your own style and what works best as you do them.
You use the same rivet size when you put the window back in. Snap caps aren't used on the Jalousie window rivets.
Clean the flange of the window when you have it out real well and put butyl tape around the flange before riveting it back in. Use a plastic painter scraper to pull away the excess butyl tape that squeezes out when you rivet the window back in. You may have to clean excess butyl for the first week or so as it will continue to ooze out.
Once you get the hang of it, I'd recommend you do the other one even if it seems it doesn't need it. Nothing worse than finding out it is leaking like a sieve in a downpour on a trip.
