We were in Sleeping bear national forest camping at the DH Day facility and there were 2 Casita 17Ft and one 13 Scamp . We hade a very pleasant conversations with the Scamp Couple but never caught up with the Casita folks Safe trip to all.
Just visited the Fiddlers' Convention in Mount Airy, NC. I only saw one Scamp--a 13 footer, but there were at least a dozen Casitas, Trilliums, Lil Snoozys, Escapes, etc.
I'm new to the forum--picking up our 13 foot standard in September. We camped in Airstreams for years. Everything from a 61 16 foot Bambi to later big ones. Over the years we've pretty much learned what we do and don't use in a camper. The Bambi was the closest we had to having the right camper. It was the scariest vehicle I ever towed though. Coupled way too short, and much heavier than it looked. Sway was a big problem, and with the short coupling the sway was very rapid, very unlike the more leisurely sway of a longer camper.
Anyway, back on topic. Back when we used to camp at the music festivals a lot, there were a bunch of us Airstreamers. Today, there were a few Airstreams, but the trend definitely seems to have tipped to the "egg." I look forward to getting ours. I'm hoping it tows better than the Bambi did, but in talking to other Scamp owners (as well as other Bambi owners), I feel pretty good about it.
I saw a shiny, possibly new standard Scamp being towed by a pickup north on I-430 in Little Rock today at 9:40 am. Best wishes for a good trip.
Saw a Casita about 12:00 Friday on our way home from the Black Hills have fun

I had a great three days there. Toured the Fort, two copper mines, and a light house. I had never been to the top of one before.

I have seen several 13 ft scamps and a fifth wheel scamp in western CO
Saw a shiny 13 footer in the campground in Hillsboro ND. It was sharing a pull through with a large rv so that Scamp looked extra small and cute.
