Driving by my RV storage lot where my white baby freezes during Winter, I saw another Scamp 13 parked there! I should hang a note on the door with my info so we can go Scampin
Been on this site for about a year, but this is my first post. Wanted to share that we camped next to another Scamp last weekend at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood, CO, near Red Rocks. Nice couple from Minnesota.
We just returned from a week camping in da UP of Michigan in our Montana fifth wheel. Of course we love seeing Scamps and talking to fellow Scampers. We saw one in Tahquamenon State Park campground, pulled by a green Subaru. I wanted to say hi, but never ran into the owners while we were there. I kept walking our dogs down that way hoping to meet them. My husband told me to quit stalking them! We also camped in Munising, another Scamp there (ha, I did talk to them a couple times while dog walking!). Lots of Scamps running around da UP last week--we saw several 16s on the road, and an Escape.
Ran into an owner with a 13 foot in Goliad State Park. I was setting up when they drove by and chatted a second. We went over to where they said they were camping the next day but they had already moved on. Sorry I wasn't more cordial, but I was still in "get stuff done" mode. Not that I was rude, but would have really liked to check out their 13 a bit closer. Most of the eggs we see down here are Casitas, not that there's anything wrong with that.
I love that he was pulling the 13 with a Subaru Outback. That is a really nice combo.
Out on my first trip in my 2018 13ft Scamp. I don’t think that bringing my egg home from the factory in Backus counts has a trip. Anyway, My Grandson and I left Oklahoma City and headed towards Wyoming. I spotted my first egg, a Castia, at the KOA camp by the devils tower on June 15th. We are currently in the Yakima area of Washington state and sadly to report I haven’t seen another Scamp. Our trip will continue down the coast through the red woods to New Mexico and southern Texas then back home to Oklahoma. Hoping that my egg sightings will improve. Till Then, Keep on Scamping…
Maybe we'll pass each other at some point on your trip. Leaving today from GA for San Antonio TX, NM, UT, and then on to Southern Oregon and up the coast. Going to the Bandon OR rally in July.
We were on south US101 Just crossed over the bridge to Astoria, Oregon and I was checking traffic and making sure I was in the correct lane when my Grandson spotted a Scamp heading north bound. It was a 13ftr. With the gold Scamp lettering pulled by a white vehicle. I cound’t get that much into detail being in traffic and all. But that feeling stayed with me how nice it was seeing our first Scamp on our trip.. Till Then, Keep on Scamping.

I suppose it depends where you live. There are at least 3 Scamp owners in my little town of 3000. I don't ever see a Casita.
