Fixed window weep hole/ drain holes

Hello everyone I noticed the front window and door window have weep holes on the out side but not all the way through.  All the other sliding windows do and work fine.  I noticed this when I went camping in cold weather with the heater blasting. It cause condensation on the inside.  All the window weep holes drain except the fixed windows.  It caused water to drip into the trailer down the fabric.  I investigated why this was and found the outside weep hole weren't cut open all the way through.  They are like dummy weep holes because from the outside it appears they are there but don't drain anything.  Anyway I drilled out three tiny holes in each slot and immediately all the water came outside.  Is this the reason many scamp owners get floor rot in the front section Idk can anyone share there experience.

On my Scamp those drain holes

On my Scamp those drain holes are slits and they only go through the outside of the frame, so the water can drain from the channel. Whenever I hose down the Scamp I spray some water from the garden hose into one of those drains and see how well it comes out the other drain in that window frame. It should drain well, and be clean.

Scamps and other FG campers are much better than those "stick-built" ones, but there are still opportunities for leaks: roof vents, roof mounted AC, antennae, and some more. And, of course, there are potential plumbing leaks. All of those can cause the floor to rot, if neglected for long.

Yea mine are slits as well.

Yea mine are slits as well.  I thought weep holes were for the condensation in the inside of the window to drain to the exterior. All my windows do that except the fixed windows, well now they do because I drilled them.  The inside rail of the windows was full of water and overflowed out of the railing into the camper. Try putting some water on the inside window rail to see if your drains outside.  I will put some pic up soon of what I have done. I have a scamp 13' 2022 layout 1 with a big bed.  It concerned me because water was dripping down the rat fur in a brand new trailer, imagine in the long run.  I am always really watchful of water or damage anywhere so this surprised me. I even took steps to coat the inside of the trailer's frame with rust preventative  because I seen old scamps with rusted frames. I saw some surface rust on the inside so I bought a can with a really long hose.

The one with yellow circle is

The one with yellow circle is the slider window with the working weep holes from the factory that's why it's a clean cut slit.  The other fixed window was solid aluminum until I drilled it.  It seams to have fixed my problem I happened to scuff the slit on the out side o well I little paint will fix,  better than water inside.
